HopSkipDrive bridges this gap by arranging safe, flexible, and dependable transportation tailored to individual requirements.

Students with disabilities deserve equitable access to education, and that means a mode of transport to and from school (and related services) that can meet their requirements. HopSkipDrive helps to ensure these students can fully participate in their education and school community by providing accessible transportation options that meet their individual needs.

With our carefully vetted CareDriver^® network, we go beyond simply driving students to school. HopSkipDrive CareDrivers, who are required to have at least five years of caregiving experience, offer a friendly face and a supportive environment that helps students feel safe and valued. This personalized attention strengthens their connection to the school community and creates a sense of belonging.

HopSkipDrive Features that Connect

Primary CareDriver +: This program prioritizes consistency by ensuring that students have the same CareDriver for at least 80% of their trips, fostering familiarity and a sense of security, which is particularly beneficial for students who thrive on routine and predictability.

Rider Assistants: For students who require additional support, we offer the option to book a Rider Assistant, a qualified individual who will accompany the rider to provide assistance and supervision during the ride.

Wheelchair-Accessible Vehicles: HopSkipDrive partners with school districts to arrange rides for students in wheelchairs through our marketplace. These rides are fulfilled by CarePartners™, trained, professional local transportation experts specializing in students with heightened needs. All CarePartners undergo HopSkipDrive’s comprehensive certification process.

Must Be Met Rides: To ensure additional safety, HopSkipDrive offers a “Must Be Met” feature. Those who schedule student rides on the HopSkipDrive platform can use this safety setting to notify CareDrivers that a responsible adult must be present to meet the rider at the drop-off location. This feature ensures that students are never left unattended at drop-off, supporting their safety and well-being.

Flexible and Adaptable Service: We understand that needs can change quickly. Our platform allows you to book rides with as little as six hours’ notice and. For previously scheduled rides, we can accommodate changes with two hours’ notice of the scheduled ride start time.
