What are the most important things you gain from being a CareDriver?
Reassuring and giving parents peace of mind.
Have you had any memorable experiences with riders that have been meaningful to you?
I have so many experiences that have been meaningful to me, especially related to single parents who are trying to navigate through life and need some sort of support to make sure their children are safe.
Have you learned anything surprising from your riders?
One of the things I have learned is that some children need someone to listen to them and express what’s going on in their young minds.
What advice would you give to someone considering becoming a CareDriver?
You must be passionate about what you’re doing. You’re helping families out. It’s not a gig where you check in and out; you must have passion about keeping the children safe.
Do you have any advice you think would be useful for other CareDrivers?
Be patient with the children. They are all different and communicate and relate at different levels.
