A proven product leader with deep marketplace experience, she joins us as we continue to meet and exceed the needs of district clients, caregivers, CareDrivers, and riders. She joins the Product & Technology organization under Corey McMahon’s leadership, alongside Lacey Plache as VP of Data Science & Analytics and Jacob Green as VP of Engineering, as the team continues to raise the bar and set new industry standards in student transportation technology.
Throughout her career, Sandra has demonstrated an exceptional ability to scale technology platforms and drive growth through user-centric innovation. At Grubhub, where she joined as the second product hire, she played an instrumental role in expanding the delivery vertical to 200+ regions. And while at Sittercity, she spearheaded the development of the company’s B2B solutions that reimagined how organizations leverage care services, and led the company’s trust and safety teams. Petersen began her career serving in product management and operations roles at Harpo Productions, The Oprah Winfrey Network, Chicago Tribune Interactive, Discover Financial Services, and A&E Television Networks.
“The student transportation challenges facing schools today require bold thinking and innovative solutions,” says Petersen. “As a parent of a fourth-grader myself, I see firsthand how access to reliable transportation shapes educational opportunities. I’m energized to join HopSkipDrive at this pivotal moment and help deliver technology solutions that expand access to education while giving schools and families much-needed peace of mind.”
With Petersen’s product leadership, we look forward to accelerating our mission of creating opportunity for all through mobility. Her unique blend of marketplace expertise and deep understanding of the care economy will be instrumental as we expand our footprint, enhance our industry-leading technology platform, and deliver transformative transportation solutions for schools and families across the country.
