HopSkipDrive is a transportation solution designed specifically for kids. We put safety first, and do everything to ensure your child has a consistent, positive experience.
Every CareDriver must have at least 5 years of caregiving experience and pass multiple rigorous background checks as part of our 15-point certification process.
Our Safe Ride Support team tracks every ride in real-time, proactively addressing anything that may come up. The school or district arranging transportation for your Rider can also track rides in real-time.

How HopSkipDrive Works

The organization responsible for your child's transportation will create a profile for your Rider, customized to your child's specific needs and preferences.

You’ll receive a text from HopSkipDrive with a link to download the mobile app to track rides in real-time. We also encourage you to call our dedicated caregiver line at (213) 737-9600 to further customize your child's experience.
Prior to each ride, you will receive your Rider's CareDriver picture, name, bio and vehicle information. This helps you and your Rider feel prepared.

Our unique two-factor authentication system is designed to ensure the right CareDriver picks up the right student.
Upon pickup, CareDrivers will provide the Rider's name and code word (sent to you through text or through the app) to verify they are the correct driver. They will also ask your Rider for their birthday.

Your Rider should be ready to go before the pickup time. Be sure to keep an eye out for the orange HopSkipDrive decal!

We'll let you know when the CareDriver is on their way, when they arrive, when they depart, and when they safely reach the destination via live ride text message updates. You can track the ride in real-time inside the HopSkipDrive or communicate directly with CareDrivers through the app.

Adjusting Time or Address
Reach out to your organization to confirm if you are able to edit a ride, or if ride adjustments need to be made by your organization.
Canceling Rides
Cancel rides directly from your mobile app! Please do so at least 8 hours in advance of the ride to avoid extra fees for the ride organizer.
Tips for a Successful Ride

Your child should be ready to go at least 10 minutes before the scheduled pickup time.

Be sure to answer any calls from HopSkipDrive Support (844-467-7547) or the CareDriver as needed.

Confirm the verification process with your Rider and make sure they know the code word the CareDriver will provide to them.

The orange HopSkipDrive decal in the car windshield will help identify the CareDriver upon arrival.
